The HP StorageWorks SAN switch 2/8V switches offer 2 Gb connectivity for entry-level storage area networks (SAN), and the ability to grow to a core-to-edge infrastructure. The simplicity and ease-of-use advantages of these switches help increase administrator productivity and lower the cost of management. These switches deliver eight high-performance Auto Sensing 1 and 2 Gb Fiber Channel ports. Plus, the SAN switch 2/8V switches are fully non-blocking and provide 16 Gb switching (2 Gb full duplex) performance. The SAN switch 2/8V scales from fabric configurations of two switches to full SAN configurations. Small-form-factor-pluggable optical transceivers (SFPs) must be ordered separately.
